BIRMINGHAM
In the spotlight
Birmingham has one of the highest levels of supported exempt accommodation in England, and it sits at the centre of the national conversation on quality, oversight and value for money.
In July 2026 a Ministerial Roundtable brought together Birmingham City Council, government departments, regulators and MPs, and the Advisory Panel's Chair was asked to oversee the actions that followed. The Panel also heard from the city that residents can be afraid to speak up for fear of losing their homes.
The Supported Housing Exchange 2027 puts Birmingham's experience at the heart of the day, so the lessons learned here can help raise standards for residents everywhere.
The supported housing sector is changing fast, and The Supported Housing Exchange brings it together in one room.
Founded by Beroa Home & Support, our first annual conference and exhibition welcomes providers, managing agents, registered providers, local authorities, charities and specialist suppliers. Together we'll share practical ways to raise housing standards, strengthen support and improve residents' experiences.
Connecting people. Sharing solutions. Building safer communities.
We're bringing together voices from across the sector, including local authorities, providers, charities and people with lived experience. Our speaker line-up will be announced soon.
Our exhibitors and partners will be revealed soon. There's still time to put your organisation in front of 100+ sector decision-makers.
We'll use the Supported Housing Advisory Panel's 31 recommendations to ministers as a starting point, then go further: an honest conversation about the problems residents, councils and good providers are facing in Birmingham today, and what we can do about them together.
